The convergence of a startup's ethos with the established identity of a legacy tech behemoth presents a unique challenge. In the wake of Cisco's acquisition of AppDynamics, an alignment of customer demographics and corporate capabilities necessitated an evolution of the user experience. As a UX/UI designer, my tasks encompassed refreshing the corporate website to mirror the organization's mature stature while catering to the nuanced demands of business and product teams. This comprehensive initiative spanned the migration of the website to Cisco's Content Management System, an interface redesign seamlessly woven into Cisco's brand vernacular, optimization of conversion touchpoints, and meticulous alignment with marketing's content strategy.
Forging a Unified Digital Identity
Our strategy encompassed a comprehensive brand language overhaul, seamlessly integrating AppDynamics' voice with Cisco's. We redesigned the free trial experience, a cornerstone for lead capture. Strategic emphasis on authentic customer narratives cultivated trust among tech executives, a burgeoning market post Cisco's acquisition. Furthermore, we extended the design framework to template content assets like blogs, webinars, and event signups, streamlining brand communication avenues.
Elevating Lead Capture
Our redesigned free trial process, a key avenue for lead generation, guides users seamlessly through a conversion funnel. We introduced a concise slideshow spotlighting product interface and capabilities to swiftly familiarize potential leads with our offerings.

Transition to Cisco.com CMS
Our efforts culminated in a seamless migration of AppDynamics onto Cisco's Adobe WEM CMS. This triumph not only transposed the platform but also interwove content across Cisco.com, fostering cross-merchandising opportunities. This endeavor streamlines accessibility, enhances user experience, and amplifies the brand's reach within the expansive Cisco landscape.
Global Accessibility: Japanese Localization
Collaborating closely with Cisco Japan affiliates, we embarked on a strategic initiative to localize the website for Japanese audiences—a pivotal market for AppDynamics. Going beyond translation, our focus included tailoring typography to ensure optimal presentation of specialized content. This undertaking enhances user experience, cultivates brand resonance, and underscores our commitment to a global audience.
